I finally decided to go through a bunch of blog posts by others that I had not been keeping up with, then I had a strange urge for tea and to write a little update. So here it goes. I started work about 5 weeks ago now and it has been going pretty well. I really havn’t had the chance to do a lot on the job, most of it is just shadowing the millwrights and the welders around and helping then with anything that they need. This includes ‘spark watch’, which is as boring as it sounds. Pretty much it means that I have to stand around and make sure that nothing catches on fire. Now on to the town. There is NOTHING to do here. Nothing. Pretty much when I work, I come home and watch TV on my computer for a couple hours, then make lunch and go to bed. My days off are usually filled with playing lots of video games, which you think I would find awesome. Its actually not. This is what I used to do at home all the time when my friends were still at work, then I would hang out with them and go to a movie or something later. But out here its pretty much just video games, and lots of free time.
